Pack or Pass is a daily push-your-luck game. Twelve sealed packs each hide one NHL player, and each pack is worth that player's overall rating (0-100) for the season shown. Everyone gets the same twelve players, all from one position group that rotates daily: centers, left wings, right wings, defensemen and goalies (a goalie's overall is his GSAx percentile).
- Pick one pack to keep. You don't get to see what's inside.
- Open the other packs in rounds of 3, 3, 2, 1 and 1. Every opened pack takes that rating off the board.
- After each round the GM offers you a real player at the same position, rated close to a fair share of what is still on the board. Pack it (take the deal) or Pass.
- Pass on the last offer and you can keep your pack or swap it for the final sealed one. Your score is the rating you walk away with, and on the daily game that card goes into your collection when you're logged in.
Tip: the GM's offers start stingy and climb each round. Early offers are rarely worth taking unless the big numbers are already gone.
