Linemates is a daily NHL connections puzzle.
- Sixteen NHL players are shown. They form four hidden groups of four that share something: a team, a draft class, a contract trait or a statistical link.
- Select four players and submit. If all four belong together the group is revealed.
- You can make four mistakes before the puzzle ends. A 'one away' hint tells you when three of four are right.
- Watch for red herrings: some players seem to fit more than one group. Solve all four groups to keep your streak.
Tip: find the most specific group first. Broad links like a shared team usually hide a decoy, so look for the connection that only four players can satisfy before committing a guess.
