How it works

How GM Mode works

GM Mode hands you control of any NHL team's cap sheet. Choose a club and you start from its real roster, contracts and draft picks for the current season. From there you can sign free agents, re-sign or release players, and make trades, while the tool tracks your cap hit and space against the league ceiling in real time.

Every move is scored by the BluelineMetrics contract model, which estimates a fair cap hit for each player from his ratings, age and position, so you can see whether a signing adds value or burns cap space. The goal is to build the strongest lineup the cap allows. Save your roster and share it when you are done.
